This is a family recipe of Pasta with Italian Meat Sauce that my boyfriend shared with me when we just started to date. Being half Italian, he does appreciate good food and knows how to cook well. I just fell in love with this amazing recipe as it is quite easy to make, so delicious and has an amazing flavor. Also, that’s a great comfort food for long winter evenings (or cold February evenings in my case).
The most important part in this recipe is obviously the meat sauce that we need to reduce. To give it more flavor, I like to grate an onion instead of just chopping it. It will produce juice that will add the perfect touch of flavor to your sauce. However, be ready to have lots of tissues next to you as you are going to cry! A lot!
To enhance the complexity of the flavor, I like to add a little bit of smoked paprika (for smoky essence) and red pepper flakes, which will give you a slight aftertaste heat.
