Also, how can we celebrate a Football party without Coca Cola?! This American classic goes hand in hand with fun family gatherings. So prep the glasses, chill your favorite Coca Cola flavor (whether it’s a classic or zero sugar), and let’s get the party started!
To celebrate, I made something special for you! It’s sweet and spicy bite-size BBQ Meatballs! They are super delicious, so I would suggest you to make a double batch (because they will be gone in a few minutes!). The rich flavor comes from the onion, grated parmesan cheese, and bread crumbs (I like to use seasoned bread crumbs). To spice it up, use some red pepper flakes. Usually, I put about ¼ of a teaspoon, but feel free to add more if you like it spicy.
How to make BBQ Meatballs
In a mixing bowl, mix together ground beef, an egg, chopped onion, bread crumbs, grated parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix it until well combined.
Using an ice cream scoop or a regular tablespoon, scoop out about 2 tablespoons of mixture and roll it into a ball. Place on a plate and set aside. Repeat the same with the rest of the meat mixture.
Preheat a large skillet, preferably a cast iron skillet, and add vegetable oil.
When the oil is hot, add meatballs to the skillet and brown them from all the sides for a few minutes.
Meanwhile, in another mixing bowl, mix together your favorite Barbeque sauce and Worcestershire sauce.
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
When the meatballs are done, transfer them to that mixing bowl and stir in the BBQ mixture.
Transfer the meatballs with BBQ sauce back to the skillet, pouring the remaining mixture on top.
Bake at 400°F for 10 minutes.
