Ingredients

  • 3 chicken breasts (skinless, boneless)
  • salt, pepper to taste
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup barbeque sauce

Instructions

  • Rinse and pat dry chicken breasts. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Pour 1 cup of water in the Instant Pot and put the chicken on top. Close the lid and make sure the venting knob is turned to “Sealing”!
  • Cook on manual high pressure for 11 minutes.
  • When it’s done, do a quick pressure release. Switch the knob to venting position to release the steam. Make sure the steam is fully released and the valve is completely down before opening the pot!
  • Drain the chicken and shred it using two forks.
  • Place the shredded chicken back to the Instant Pot and press the “sauté” button on.
  • Add you favorite BBQ sauce and mix it with the chicken until well combined and the sauce is warm. Then you can turn the Instant Pot off and serve the chicken.
