In a stand mixer bowl, put 1 cup warm milk (about 110˚F), 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast, and 3 tbsp sugar. Give it a stir and let sit for 3-5 minutes until it starts to bubble.
Then add 4 tbsp melted butter, 1 egg, 1 ½ ts salt, and half of the flour.
Using a dough attachment, mix it up.
Then gradually add the rest of the flour and continue mixing until combined. Knead for about 3-5 minutes.
Add 2 tbsp olive oil and grease the dough fro all sides.
Cover with plastic wrap or a towel and let it rise for about 2 hours or until the dough doubles in size.
When the dough is ready, grease a 9x13 inch baking pan and set aside.
Sprinkle a little bit of flour on the counter. Punch down the dough to release the air.
Transfer it to a floured surface. Roll the dough in a log, cut in 12 equal pieces and roll them into a ball shape.
Place them in a baking pan, leaving some space in between.
Cover with a clean towel and let rise for 1 more hour.
When ready, adjust the oven rack to a lower level and preheat the oven to 350°F.
Bake the rolls at 350°F for 20-25 minutes.
When the dinner rolls are ready, remove them from the oven. Brush them with melted butter for a shiny finish.
